About “Dining with Diabetes”

– Do you or a family member
have type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, or a risk of
developing type 2 diabetes? You probably know how
important it is to eat well, get an appropriate amount
of physical activity, and take the right medications. But sometimes, it can be a challenge to make these lifestyle changes. You might need a little help. I’m Debbie Griffie with
Penn State Extension. My team is offering one
of our signature programs, Dining With Diabetes
online for the first time. This course, which is accredited by the American Association
of Diabetes Educators, is designed to help you learn how to manage your diabetes. We’ll go over meal planning
and preparing healthy meals, getting active,
understanding test results, and other information that
is critical to your success. Following the
recommendations in the Dining With Diabetes program has been proven to help people significantly
lower their A1C and blood pressure, while
improving lifestyle choices. Taking the course online will allow you to learn at your own pace
when it’s convenient for you. Don’t put off taking
control of your health. Sign up for Dining With Diabetes today.
