About Eastside Medical Center

Eastside Medical Center
has been a community healthcare leader for 37 years. Built in 1979 and originally named Gwinnett Community Hospital,
Eastside first opened its doors on January 3rd 1980 and housed
over 100 patient beds. As the population
of Gwinnett County continued to grow over the years so did
the need for additional access to quality healthcare.
In effort to meet demand Eastside Medical Centers main
campus hospital opened in 1994 and was proudly welcomed
by our community. Since the beginning
Eastside Medical Center has been a hospital that focuses
on community based care with a clear vision
for the future. Today the Eastside Medical
System of care consists of two hospitals. With 310 beds.
Two full service emergency departments.
Three urgent care centers. A medical staff
of 450 physicians. Over a thousand employees. Over 400 volunteers.
And over 40 nursing residents annually.
Two on campus medical plazas. The East Side Spine
and Wellness Center. The Loganville Digital
Imaging Center. With eight primary and specialty
care services focusing on primary care.
Comprehensive cardiology. General surgery. Neurosurgery.
And maternity specialties services.
Eastside welcomes over a thousand babies annually. Emergency care provided to over
65,000 annually. And over 500 joint
replacements annually. Recipient of the 2017
HealthGrades patient safety Excellence Award. A Breast Imaging Center
of Excellence named by the FDA. Above all else we are committed
to the care and improvement of human life. At Eastside,
