Bristol, Va. leaders to hear public comment on fire, emergency medical services

TONIGHT, A TOWN HALL MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE TO DISCUSS A TRI-CITIES FIRE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES IN BRISTOL, VIRGINIA. CITY MANAGER RANDALL EADS REQUESTED THAT THE VIRGINIA FIRE SERVICE BOARD TAKE A LOOK AT THE CITY’S EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND FIRE SERVICES. THE TOWN HALL MEETING WILL ALLOW BRISTOL RESIDENTS TO TALK ABOUT THEIR CONCERNS REGARDING FIRE AND E-M-S RESPONSE. EARLIER THIS YEAR, CITY LEADERS LOOKED INTO MAKING CUTS AT THE CITY’S FIRE DEPARTMENT AS A MEASURE TO DEAL WITH NEARLY $100 MILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT. PEOPLE WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GIVE THEIR INPUT.
