  1. AMERICA'S OWNERS ARE THE KOCH BROTHERS! CORPORATE AMERICA, WALL STREET AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER! — THE DARK VADER — evil doer of why AMERICA IS LOST —- lost to GREED!

  2. This guy is right about the corruption of the medical system, but naively ignorant about the corruption and counterproductiveness of the education system. This guy ignorantly believes that we should take all we could save from the medical system, and give that money as a gift to the education system. Why not instead, allow people to pocket the savings and do as they see fit with the money that they themselves have earned? For free market articles, check LewRockell (dot)com

  3. This poor guy thinks the education system is going to educate people on how t take care of themselves if we give them more money? The education system is the reason people are so easily fooled by the medical industrial complex.

Peace Health and Love to you all!

  5. NHLBI's ATP III which steers cholesterol treatment is 8 of 9 funded by the statin producers.
USDA's DGAC decides what food is good and nearly all 13 are funded by grain companies.

Lobbyists drive healthcare policy, and the world is paying for it.

  6. @dickwadd13
You really think the insurance company's are losing with this new bill? The government has just guaranteed them tens of millions of customers. Now all incentive to provide a better service, even if there was just a little, is lost. I bet they've helped pushing the bill themselves with their lobbyist. People should get off the idea that big corporations and governments are rivals. The only cure for bad corporations is competition, not bigger government.

  7. Sorry to say, but sometimes I feel that some heads of healthcare need to be executed unless they start thinking about people's lives but not their own profit. Let's face it – they are the greatest murderers. To be honest I wish no one to be executed, but if are the doctors make money upon the grave of your patients… Sorry for being such brutally honest, but the brother of my friend passed away because of the doctor's lousy work. It still hurts to recall that:(::

  10. "The United States, which spent more than any other nation on health care, was ranked 37th and trailed countries such as Colombia and Morocco, which had much lower levels of health´╗┐ spending. Italy, Spain, Oman, Austria, and Japan all captured spots in the top 10" Encyclopedia Britannica, 2008.

  11. I don't see the difference between Capitalism and Corporatism. In a Capitalistic system, the government will ALWAYS be run by big business, so how could you ever have a "free-market-capitalistic" society.

The only difference I see is that corporatism is the reality and free-market-capitalism is a fantasy that could never exist.

  12. This guy is brilliant and his words apply in a lot of areas of life. It is far better to live life to the fullest than be constantly "in repair" and way too many people are "in repair" at any given time.

  13. A lot of the debt has come from the healthcare system we have. It works in the same way as social security, which is described below.

  14. thats due to the govt mandates on insurance and the incentive on the doctors part to do a bunch of unnecessary tests due to the third party nature of the insurance industry. Consumers have no incentive to shop around for better prices so no incentive to lower costs. Profits nowadays don't translate to a better product and service due to govt intervention in the industry.

  15. Nutjob? And you say you don't use racist expressions!!!! My people have been oppressed too long for our work in nut factories. I'll not allow you to disparage the good name of the Acornians with such foul language!!!!

  16. I object to your depiction of me. Alliteration sounds so much better, so in the future, please address me as the weirdo wacko liberal looney leftist marxist. Feel free to add bashi-bazouk, iconoclast and ten-thousand thundering typhoons as you wish. But do avoid the racism, please, it gives me gas.

  17. Rather than providing grants for research, which perpetuates tail-chasing–since a cure puts them out of business–simply offer a huge reward for cures. Then, the market will begin providing the answers.

  18. @Mastikator good point, thanks for bringing some balance into the dicsussion, I live in Canada and my experiences in the last 2 weeks make me wish I could afford to go to the states, cause I need competent health care

  19. You are completely ignorant to the sad economics of our times if you think that big pharma and all the insurance companies and lobbyist groups aren't contributing to and affecting the medical illiteracy of the US population. Through relentless TV advertising alone they have completely bastardized the doctor-patient role for society. They don't want doctors to consult with you about your health in relation to Condition X, they'd rather design a pill then have you go to the doctor and ask for it.

  20. If you live in the US and have cancer you have a statistically higher chance of living longer than anywhere in the world. Yeah, the evils of profits have corrupted the health-care industry into making cancer patients living longer.

Bring some of that evil corruption to Sweden I want in too.

  21. Shocking!!! A physician at Stanford University Hopsital claims to know more about the health care industry than you? How dare he!
