There are times based on the design and placement of cabinets, that the cabinet door can and will strike an adjacent cabinet or a wall when opened. This is due to the standard door hinge being designed with an opening angle of 105 degrees or greater. These situations are easily corrected using hinge angle restriction clips. The restriction clips are designed to restrict the hinge to an opening angle of 86 degrees This video will demonstrate the installation of the 2 different types of restriction clips. To restrict the opening angle of the standard soft-close door hinge used on a Crestwood cabinet door, remove the door from the cabinet. Place the restriction clip in the hinge as shown. Open the hinge all the way to set or secure the clip to the hinge. With the clip installed in each soft-close hinge reattach the door to the cabinet. To restrict the opening angle of the standard soft-close door hinge used on a Bria cabinet door, remove the door from the cabinet and close the hinge with the soft-close feature. Place the restriction clip in the hinge as shown. Ensure that the clip is securely in place. Open the hinges all the way and reattach the door to the cabinet.
