How Parkinson's Disease Affects the Body — The Doctors

you know what there's also a really cool show called doctors where we'll have Parkinson's disease and in fact I might take this opportunity right now to try to explain to everyone what Parkinson's disease is you know it is a chronic and progressive movement disorder and of course given that it's a movement disorder it does start in your brain and it starts at the level of the brain cells particularly an area called the substantia nigra this is an area of your brain that is very important in terms of controlling movement and what we call in medicine your motor function what happens is at the neuron the level of the cell in your brain those cells can not only die but they lose their ability to produce dopamine dopamine is absolutely essential especially when it comes to movement and coordination and anything that upsets the balance of dopamine at the level of your neurons can create symptoms of Parkinson's one of the most common things you're going to see with Parkinson's is something that's known as a resting tremor may be the very first sign that you notice and a loved one that's going to make you want to go get them checked out it's not just resting tremor of the hands which is very common it can also be the arms the legs even the jaw in some situations now with Parkinson's disease a lot more can happen some patients will suffer from stiff joints painful joints but another big thing to look out for is if you notice that your loved one seems to be losing coordination walking becomes more of a shuffling gait these are things that you have to look out for get it checked out some other early warning signs for Parkinson's you can have fine motor skill difficulties you can actually get loss of coordination stiff muscles tremors as I mentioned if you notice these things you want to get a check out because there are treatments that can that can really improve we're gonna talk more in the next segment about those treatments there is hope and so that's why diagnoses early so key again didn't didn't happen for your dad right but now he's he's on treatment yes he's on treatment he's had it for many years and I will say being a part of a Parkinson's community and learning more about the disease you and your family being proactive is so important because it can improve your quality of life the more you know the better it is so you know I'll be going to the unity walk which is the largest grassroots event for Parkinson's disease research it's put on by the Parkinson Alliance it's Saturday April 27th you can go to unity walk org and it's just resources out there research health care providers other people with Parkinson's and a hundred percent of the 100% of proceeds goes to directly to research which is why I'm involved in join me at the unity walk Landor everybody do it

  1. Hubby is 89 having Parkinson's for 13 years. What is helping him the MOST are NATURAL SUPPLEMENTS.
In fact, that's all he is regularly taking. Two of the BEST are Piracetam and DMAE working together. The
former may be a little hard to find but WORTH IT. Certain food items help to prevent this Big P.
Eggs (best our pasture raised) and dark chocolate increase serotonin in the brain. We are enjoying them!

  2. How come they never address , or fully address or even mention the mental/ psychological changes.!
They ensuing depression and anxiety due to the dopamine disregulation are E- FUCKING-NORMOUS. (It) , ( this) reality has run radshod over my life and marriage! Goddamn! Can I get an hallelujah or what !??!?

  3. I was diagnosed 2 years ago at age 63. Symptoms were tremor in right leg, loss of handwriting ability, and soft voice. I also have difficulty rising from a seated position and have balance issues. I started out taking only Azilect, then Mirapex, and 6 months ago Sinemet. Several months ago I started falling frequently, hence the reason for Sinemet. I tried every shots available but nothing worked. In June 2018, my neurologist and I decided to go with natural treatment and was introduced to Natural Herbal Gardens natural organic Parkinson’s Herbal formula, i had a total decline of symptoms with this treatment, the Tremor, falling frequently, stiffness, body weakness, balance issues, depression and others has subsided. 4. Yes but this is my thing
All the money goes to research.
What is out there to help the patient and the caretaker.
Why should I donate money for research for all these drs to get rich on? I need money to help my husband and myself to make it on a daily basis. My husband has Parkinson and all we get is bills mounting up. So, yes I'm bitter because all these foundations want money, but they truly do not help the patient or their families.

My husband is in a program that is helping him. It's called ROCK STEADY BOXING. It has done more for my husband than any doctor or physical therapist has. My husband is not on Levodopa. Levodopa can mess with your mind and give a patient hallucinations. My husband said he would rather do without the prescriptions that is prescribed for parkinson's. The key to parkinson's is to keep moving and exercising and that is why boxing works for parkinson's.

  7. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Over the years, my tremors worsened and I was unable to get around without a walker or a cane.
During a trip to southern California to visit a friend, I decided to treat myself to a day at the spa. While I was there, I was approached by a woman who noticed my problem and asked if I ever heard of Dr Musa, I said no. The woman said that her best friend’s father, who also had Parkinson’s, was cured by Dr Musa, and it really helped. I was interested, so the woman gave me a note with information about Dr Musa's contact.
As soon as I got back to my friend’s house, I contacted Dr Musa and he assured me that am at the right place to treat my Parkinson’s disease.
He prepared a herbal medicine for me which i was taking according to his instructions, Just After 9 days of taking Dr Musa's herbal medicine, My gait began to steady, my tremors started to subside, and for the first time, I was hopeful that I might gain control of my Parkinson’s disease, instead of it controlling me. My results were so remarkable that I decided to interrogate Dr Musa to know what other disease and virus they cured.
Today, I am a different person. “I haven’t used a walker or a cane for months now. I’m able to wear cover shoes, and I’m even dancing again. I went from barely walking to going up and down stairs on my own. I wish I could thank the lady who told me about Dr Musa. This information changed my life, and I owe her a debt of gratitude.
Below is Dr Musa's email address for those who are going through tough medical issues you can contact him on.
