How To Build Confidence in Clinicals!

  1. I have this fear of working the IV pumps and medications. I have 7 months left and need to gain that confidence. What advice do you have?

  2. I did three things that really boosted my confidence in clinicals
#1: about a year before I planned to apply for nursing school I got a job as a Pharmacy Technician (everyone in my clinical group would turn to me for anything medication related)
#2: as soon as I was qualified, I became a PCT/CNA for the hospital where some of our clinicals were
#3: every day at clinicals I told myself that if anyone had ANYTHING I could help with, I would volunteer, no matter how much it scared me. Go get 'em!

  3. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video! Your advice is definitely on point. I have 2 semesters left until graduation and you are right about confidence coming with time and putting yourself out there; I'll remember that (open lab has helped, also). Thanks again … very much appreciated!

  4. Are you nervous for your upcoming clinic rotation in Nursing School?
It's okay guys, it really is. It's natural to be nervous!
