  1. Not only is the mental health system broken so is the health care here in New Mexico and probably most of America! We are having to go to Texas tomorrow to get care for my 3 year old because the doctors here will not help her. Thank you for sharing your struggles!

  2. I have started to say something about this in chat but haven't.
I have experienced a depression episode . I think that is what it is called if it goes on for a longer time. Ok, major depressive episode is the label. It happened a long time ago but has resurfaced again in this part of my life. Saying it was a long time ago does not change or lessen the memories of it.
My mother came to my apartment and took me back to our hometown. I was blessed with people around me who were not going to let me die. I was in hospital and medication was gotten right and I started toward the end of that dark tunnel.
This last year I have started to see the same symptoms etc. we have changed meds done all kind of things but hey, I am not functioning right. I get so down tears just roll and I have started that avoiding people.
I want to say, this is something that happens. The person going through it isn't having a pity party.
They are literally doing the best they can at this time. My heart breaks to know Jake is going through this.
Everyone and everything will be ok because I see the love between the members of this family … just hang on.

  3. There is always lots of beautiful gestures made, and comforting words said. You smile, you make everyone around happy, you pretend. You are being called 'little sunshine' and how much they envy you your careless life. Then you turn around and see you are alone. So you deal with it. As long as you can. Untill you don't.

  4. Omg I love you guys❣️ Aaron I started tearing up with you. I know we are all here for you, Liz and the family β€οΈπŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ§‘

  5. Those (s)Lime balls… you asked for a lemon and they gave you a lime, lol. Seriously, you really do have to make lemonade out of the lemons of this life. You're right, Mental Health is real. You all will be fine. Just having parents that care is a major first step in the right direction. I suffered for years and though it's a long process, I started seeing great results by detoxing my immune system and cutting out most sugars from my diet. I was blown away by finding out how much food affected my brain. Not everyone is affected by the food we eat the same way, but some people like me have sensitive systems I guess. Anyway, I know it's not easy sharing, but God bless you all. Sharing can be therapeutic, but it also helps people know they are not alone. Hey, my heart is with you Syman family. Now, go make some lemonade or clean up rabbit poop or somethin' πŸ˜˜πŸ’•

  6. I struggle with severe depression and anxiety disorders and other coning out with stories like your encourages other to seek help. It can be an uphill battle but you are a strong family and will come through this and you son will get the help he needs, there will be adjustments along the way. Mental Health is broken. I am 59 and have struggled with issues since i was 13. Getting help is the first big step and sticking with having to try different med and their side effect or not working can be hard but eventually one clicks. I am praying for your family. yall will be good again. love to all .

  7. Yes, mental illness is real and the system is broken. It breaks my heart seeing so many children struggle with this. This wasn't a problem back when I was a kid. Kids today are exposed to so much violence in tv shows, movies and video games. Children's brains are fragile and each time they see a violent act, it affects them in a very real way. They watch tv and play games for "entertainment" but most of this "entertainment" is filled with shooting and killing. What kind of message does this send to our kids? We are literally brainwashing our kids to enjoy killing others for fun and games. Please research the negative effects of video games on children's brains. My prayers are with your family.

  8. I haven't been able to get into chat much recently because of my own challenges, but I wanted you to know that all my spare love and positve thoughts are being sent your way to our precious Jake and the whole family, human and furry. It could be a long and sometimes bumpy road, but hopefully it will get smoother as you pass along on your journey!*!

  9. Wow, just…wow! Powerful video! I suffer from Bipolar Disorder myself and I have found watching the goats to be therapeutic. Their antics make me laugh, even on days when I feel less than human. Thank God for you helping people and I continue to pray for Jake. Syman family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  10. Godspeed SSF family. Been struggling with
Bipolar 1 since the late 1970s. Some days are harder than others, but support from others helps! πŸ˜‰β€πŸ‘

  11. This video is so honest and from your hearts. Thank you Symans for sharing with us. Continued prayers for all of you.

  12. Lots of love and hugs to the family. Besides the system you are his biggest support for how much love you have for Jake and the rest of the family. As your YouTube family Thank You for always taking us along with you and showing us the love, happiness, the up and down and that's why I love watching you all .

  13. This is such an important message! Mental health is real and so important to overall health. Praying for healing for Jake and your family β™₯️

  14. Aaron my daughter has mental health issues I have been through a lot my heart breaks for you it's a long journey I will pray for you and Liz and the family and Jack πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™β€οΈβ€οΈ

  15. Thank you for sharing Jake's and your family's mental health journey with all of us. Mental health touches so many families and I for one appreciate how you have brought it into the daylight. My thoughts and prayers are with Jake and the whole family.

  16. Mental health services are on its knees here in the uk πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ and yet nearly everyone I know either suffers or knows someone that suffers. It’s so common in our younger generation. My youngest daughter who is now 24 has been struggling with life since her teens. Much love to you all x

  17. This is one of the most heart wrenching, honest and beautiful videos I have seen on the internet. It is so true no matter what state you live in the mental health system is very broken in so many ways. But the most important piece is you both realize the signs and symptoms and jump right in. I know from my own experience with my 27-year-old daughter how many hurdles you have to jump. She came to us at 19 months of age with so many mental health issues and the past almost 27 years has been a struggle but we never gave up, fought all the fights we had to and yes she does still struggle in many ways but has made such remarkable progress. And we have filled our lives with those who totally understand and can support her when she needs it. Just know all of you will make the right decisions each step of the way, not without tears, but you have the support of so many who love and respect all of you. I am sure the Good Lord has all of you wrapped in his arms and will lead the way for you and Jake. Thank you for all you do and know every decision you make will be right one. Again thank you and Jake for sharing your story. It has been such a blessing for everyone. You are all in my thoughts, heart and prayers.

  18. Be patient, life is circular it will get better. You do help so many with this feed. Take care of your beautiful family and things will get brighter

  19. Thank you so much for this video. Mental heath is real. Jake has a great family to support him. You never know you could have saved someone’s life by posting this video.
