Move Out Preparation – (540) 898-6988

We have appreciated having you as a tenant
with Lorac Realty & Property Management. We regret that you are leaving and wish you
all the best in the future. Since we know that moving to another location
is a hectic experience and you have a lot on your mind, we have prepared a video for
you to help with your move-out experience. Your dwelling should be left in rent-ready
condition, which means that it should be as clean and undamaged as it was when you moved
in. We will be conducting a walk-through evaluation
with you before you return the keys to us. This evaluation will be identical to the one
during your move-in and will use the same checklist. We expect that you will provide a receipt
for the professional cleaning of: The appliances, including the refrigerator,
the stove, and the vent hood The showers, toilets and tubs
The sinks, mirrors, and medicine cabinets Underneath the kitchen and bathroom sinks We also need the following completed:
Ceilings for cobwebs Baseboards
Window sills Closet shelves
Blinds Make sure that the walls are clean and free
of marks, clean and sweep the floors, the entry, the patio, the carport, the garage,
and any storage areas. All of your personal belongings should have
been removed by the time we conduct the walk-through evaluation, and everything should have been
cleaned. We need the house to be in undamaged condition
when you leave, which means that there should be no damage to the floors, walls, fixtures,
and so forth, that was not noted on the evaluation performed at the time of your move-in. There should be no new burns, chips, cracks,
holes, or other damage in the house or its furnishings; this includes excess wear and
tear on the paint. All appliances and light bulbs should be in
good working condition. When we perform the move-out evaluation, the
utilities should still be in your name and turned on. As long as you have keys to the unit and until
all your possessions have been removed from it, you are still responsible for the rent. We conduct all move-out evaluations during
regular business hours unless you have made other arrangements with us in advance of your
move-out date. We sometimes make exceptions and will schedule
move-out evaluations during the evenings or weekends but this will incur an administrative
fee. If you have any questions about any of the
above, please contact the office and speak to a property manager. We are always happy to help you and appreciate
your tenancy with us. Thank you for renting with Lorac Realty & Property
Management, where the difference is ‘We Make Renting Easy’.
