Physician Video Profile: Paul Judge, MD (Ear, Nose, & Throat)

My name is Paul Judge. I’m an ear, nose,
and throat surgeon. I work at Lakeland Ear, Nose and Throat both in Niles and in
St. Joseph. I went to undergrad at Michigan Technological University in the
Upper Peninsula. I actually was born and raised here in Berrien County. After
undergrad, I went to medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit. I
completed my residency as well as a post doctoral fellowship here while I was in
Omaha, Nebraska. After that I worked at the VA in Omaha, serving our country’s
veterans and then joined the practice here really recently. I love Berrien
County. I love the people that are here. This is home. I love the community, and
I’m glad to come home and help take care of my friends, my family, and my community.
Ear, nose, and throat surgery is a clinically based practice. We receive
patients who have any disorders of hearing. We come and see patients who have allergy. We see patients who have sleep. I personally practice the full gamut, though I do have a special interest in treating diseases of the ear, disease of
hearing loss, tinnitus imbalance, kids that have chronic ear infections, adults that
have chronic ear infections. Those are very specialized problems, and I spent
time in both my training and after training developing special skill sets
to help take care of those patients. The relationships that I have with my
patients are what bring me to work every day, and it’s very rewarding to invest
time and effort into treating people physically and then providing education
and informing people about their disease processes. Aside from you know all the
great people that I work with and all the cool things that we get to do,
healing somebody is the best part.
