Stephanie Mann, MD, Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician – Burlington, VT, The UVM Medical Center

Hello, I’m glad to have this opportunity
to speak with you. My name is Stephanie Mann and I’m a physician who practices
maternal fetal medicine. 1.) I try to understand what the what
the patient wants, you know, what’s important to her with respect to her
pregnancy. I think second, I want to make sure that I’m able to explain whatever
complex issues are going on in a way that that, you know, that she and her
family can understand. For me, what’s most important, I think, is
for the patients to have confidence in me and to know that what I whatever
I’m recommending to them is really that it’s a plan that’s been well
thought out and that they’re getting you know state-of-the-art information. I
think it’s important for patients to know that whenever I interact with them
but I’ll always you know I’ll always tell them like as it is. I don’t
sugarcoat things. I think it’s important to be very direct and
straightforward and patients can be pretty confident that whatever I tell
them: good, bad or otherwise that that’s the reality of the situation.
